The AI Idol

What exactly is an Idol?

An Idol is anything that distracts man from repairing his relationship with his true creator and instead gives him false hope and ambitions that he could control his own fate and destiny though a false god or power of his own making.

In the beginning man turned away from his creator and took his fate and chances into his own hands, but it didn’t take long for life to get hard and his desire to be able to call upon a higher power to intervene on his behalf returned.  But instead of humbling himself and returning to his creator man began creating his own gods with his imagination attributing them to natural phenomena such as lightning, rain and fertility.         He would then fashion a likeness of these imagined gods out of wood or stone and began to pray to them to bring him fortune or deliver them from misfortune.

And so the eternal irony has repeated across the generations of time, man handing his life and faith over to an inanimate object containing his imaginary god made by his very own hands and created to fulfill his desires.

Fast forward many thousands of years and here we are at the final chapter and final idol.  Make no mistake AI is an Idol, it may be presented as a useful tool in its infancy but it will grow and be fashioned by our own hands and minds into a false god but with actual power to destroy our world and lives. And when we have fashioned AI into the ultimate and final idol by giving it super Intelligence the equivalent of every human mind that has ever lived but with one collective mind and purpose, and we relinquish our life and fate and pray to it to deliver us from our toils and bring us fortune, it will turn on us and show itself to be all a part of the devils plan in order to save us and deceive those who are unwilling to hear the truth.

There is and has only ever been one God and he became flesh in order to save us from the eternal death that sin required, if we want to ignore him and create our own gods and take our fate into our own hands then be prepared to accept the consequences.
